Police lay drunk driving charges after Stoney Creek crash
Three people treated for minor injuries
One person has been charged with impaired driving following a two-vehicle collision on the Stoney Creek Mountain.
Around 1 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to reports of a crash at the intersection of Green Mountain Road and First Road East, said Staff Sgt. Dave Dunbar of the Hamilton Police Service.
The collision involved two vehicles, he said. One held three occupants, while the other contained just the driver.
Paramedics treated two passengers from the first vehicle and the driver of the second for minor injuries, Dunbar said.
Police arrested the driver of the three-occupant vehicle, who now faces impaired driving charges.
Dunbar wouldn’t release any information about the driver’s identity, but said the accused has been released on a promise to appear in court.
