Over $70,000 worth of pot had been growing at a central Mountain home that had been completely converted into a grow-op, police say.
Around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, police searched a home on Coral Drive near Lawfield Drive.
Investigators saw a man park his car in the driveway of the address before going in. The man owned the home and was arrested on the spot.
Once inside the home, investigators discovered the entire residence was being used as a grow-op. A total of 564 marijuana plants in various stages of growth were seized alongside "a quantity of processed marijuana," police say.
Horizon utilities was contacted and asked to shut off hydro to the home.
A 31-year-old Hamilton man was arrested and charged with production of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana for the purposes of trafficking. He was held for a bail hearing.
