Police in Quebec are asking Hamiltonians for help in the search for a missing teen.

Alexina Béland, 17, of Saint-Hyacinthe, Que., was spotted around Jackson Square within the last two weeks, said Joyce Kemp, a spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.

She said the teen could still be in downtown Hamilton and may be in the company of a group of people.

The teen has been missing since the middle of June. "We do believe that she ran away from her home," Kemp said.

Béland is described as five feet tall, 120 lbs., with long, black hair that could be died blonde or pink.

People with information on her whereabouts are asked to contact the Sûreté du Québec at 1-800-659-4264.
