A car collided with a horse in Glanbrook early Thursday morning, police say.
The accident happened around 2 a.m. near Miles Road and Airport Road in Glanbrook.
The driver of a vehicle was travelling southbound on Miles Road when a horse "appeared in the roadway," police say.
The man attempted to swerve and miss the horse, but collided with the animal head-on. The horse was so badly injured that a police officer at the scene had to shoot it to end its suffering, police say.
