Man beaten in random home invasion
A Hamilton man was taken to hospital after he was beaten in his own home Thursday morning, police say.
Officers were called to a home on Smith Avenue in the city’s north end around 7:45 a.m. The man living there had been beaten with a blunt object and was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The investigating officers aren’t aware of anything being taken from the home, police spokesperson Catherine Martin says. Officers believe the beating was a random act.
