An Ancaster man was arrested Thursday for impaired driving after officers pulled him over with his two children in the car.

Officers were called to the Garner Road area around 7:30 p.m. after getting a report of a suspected impaired driver. Police saw the car and stopped it on Southcote Road, just north of Garner Road.

The officers determined the driver had been drinking, arrested him, and took him to police headquarters for a breathalyzer test where he blew over the legal limit, police say. The man had his two children in the car with him.

The Children's Aid Society was notified, police say A 41-year-old Ancaster man was charged with impaired driving and over 80. He was released on a promise to appear in court.
