Hamilton elementary school teachers are walking off the job Monday morning, trying to send a message to the government denouncing the controversial Bill 115.

Public opinion over the strike is mixed. Lisa Hammond, president of the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario local told CBC Hamilton that teachers are hearing from the public on both sides of the issue.

"Our members do encounter some hostility," she said. "But we're getting a lot of support, too."

So where do you stand, Hamilton? Do you feel the teachers are right to strike about Bill 115, which they say removes their democratic rights to bargain? Or do you think the government is right to step in considering a reported $14.4-billion deficit?
