The suspect in a downtown Hamilton shooting has turned himself in to police.

Odain Orain Gardner was wanted in connection with a May 8 shooting outside 12 Tisdale St. N that sent a 32-year-old man to hospital.

The victim, police say, arrived to Hamilton General Hospital at around 5:35 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

“The injury is not life-threatening,” police spokesman Claus Wagner said in a May 9 news release.

The victim and friend were seated in a car when a number of suspects approach the car and shot the man, Wagner wrote.
