Melissa Tancredi was an integral part of the Canadian women’s soccer team that lost a heartbreaker to the U.S. squad in the semi-finals. They went on to win a bronze against France.

Shona Thorburn is a guard for the Canadian women’s basketball team, who had two wins and three losses in qualifying play. The team lost to the U.S. in the quarter-finals, 91 – 48.
