Hamilton police are searching for at least one suspect Thursday after two separate incidents this week in which female pedestrians were groped by a man on a bicycle.

A 19-year-old was sexually assaulted Tuesday night on Upper Paradise Road, just north of Stone Church Road, and a 20-year-old was assaulted Wednesday night on Upper Paradise at Kordun Street.

In both instances, the women were approached from behind and groped before the suspect fled on his bicycle. Both women contacted police once they were safely at home.

In the first incident the suspect is described as a white male with a dark complexion, with long, dark shoulder-length hair, riding a dark mountain bike. He was wearing a long, black tank top with matching black pants, dark-coloured shoes and a black hat.

In the second incident he is described as a white male, with a medium build, wearing a black hat with a blue stripe, a black t-shirt and jeans.

Hamilton police asks anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Victims who have not yet reported similar incidents are asked to contact Det. David Wide of the Hamilton police's Sexual Assault Unit at 905-540-5543.
