Police are looking for two suspects after a Hamilton man was stabbed while taking out the trash early Sunday morning.

Around 2 a.m., the man was putting out his garbage behind an apartment building at 100 Bay Street South when two young men approached him.

They got into an argument which quickly turned into a fight. One of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the leg. He fell down and the two young men started to kick him before fleeing the scene.

The victim was treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Police are seeking two suspects. Police describe one as a black man, six-feet tall with a skinny build, in his late teens or early 20s, wearing a black hoodie and a dark jacket. The other suspect is described as a white man, 5-feet 8-inches tall, with a stocky build and weighing about 165 pounds, wearing a white hoodie.
