Police have charged a 33-year-old Hamilton man for allegedly possessing and sharing child pornography.

On Monday at about 3:30 p.m., police executed a search warrant at a home on Sulmona Drive near Rymal Road.

"They seized the computers and other electronic items from the home that will be subject to a forensic investigation," said Sgt. Terri-Lynn Collings, a police spokesperson.

She said the arrest came after Hamilton police received a tip from investigators in the Halton Region.

The charges include four counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of making child pornography available.

The accused is scheduled to appear at a bail hearing on Tuesday.
