There are some delays on GO Transit lines this morning. The Oakville GO 7:05 a.m. to Union Station 7:45 a.m. train was delayed just over five minutes. The Union Station 7:13 a.m. to Aldershot GO 8:16 a.m. train is also delayed just over five minutes.
Commuters heading to Toronto can also expect delays because of major construction on the Gardiner Expressway resulting in lane closures. GO Transit is anticipating bus delays of up to 30 minutes during peak hours on Routes 16, 21 and 31. Buses should remain on-route, with slight detours as required.
Traffic was severely backed up yesterday, with police reporting nine accidents on the Gardiner. Give yourself extra time or consider the train if you can.

- A collision on the Red Hill Valley Parkway in the northbound lanes. 9:20 a.m.
- A collision on Governor's Road in Flamborough. 9:14 a.m.
- Traffic issues on rap 6 to the airport on Airport Road West in Glanbrook. 8:29 a.m.
- A collision on Barton Street East. 8:00 a.m.
Today is cloudy with periods of rain beginning this morning, with amounts of 10 to 20 mm. Wind northeast 20 km/h becoming southeast 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h this morning then diminishing to 20 km/h this afternoon. High 10 C.

Building owners at Frisina Group tell CBC Hamilton they're in the middle of cleaning up the former Delta Bingo site on King William Street. No firm word yet on what will be setting up shop in the space.
Ontario Provincial Police are still investigating what caused an SUV to plow into several cars and fly through the air on the 403 near Waterdown Road Monday evening, snarling traffic for hours and sending two people to hospital in critical condition.
“It’s unknown yet because we’re examining all factors,” Const. Graham Williamson told CBC Hamilton. “One possibility that is being looked at is a medical condition.”
Hamilton residents will have the opportunity starting tonight to weigh in at a series of meetings about a dramatic plan to close a total of 10 elementary schools in three areas of the city.
On Tuesday, the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) will host a 6 p.m. community consultation at city hall about a staff recommendation to shutter three schools in West Flamborough and replace or expand two more. The board is set to hold two more sessions at city hall next week to get feedback on similar proposals for East Hamilton and the Central Mountain.
