Happy Monday, Hamilton! Who had a good weekend? What did you get up to?

Comic Con festival? Maybe a visit to an art gallery? Any outdoor time before the rain set in? Well, whatever it was, we hope you had a good one. Time to get ready for another work week!

12 C at 8 a.m. this morning. You'll need your rain gear today – expect showers into the evening.

DayStarter Commute

If you're travelling by car this morning, be prepared for a slower than normal drive because of the rain, and keep your headlights on for better visibility.

A few minor early collisions: for commuters, a two-car collision at the 401 eastbound collectors at the 403. Those vehicles are in the left shoulder, but watch out for the debris in the two left lanes. OPP is reporting a tow truck is now on scene. 8:38 a.m.

Another two-car collision QEW Fort Erie-bound at the 403 in Burlington. That's blocking the centre lane at 8:04 a.m.

You'll see a two-car collision on the QEW Toronto-bound at Burlington Street in the right shoulder. 7:05 a.m. An ambulance and tow truck are now on scene 8:00 a.m.

On Hamilton streets, you'll see a collision at Rymal Road East and Dartnall Road. 6:39 a.m.

No delays to report on GO Transit or the HSR this morning.

If need to take the 11-Parkdale route, there is a detour all week because of CN Rail track repairs. Read about that detour here.

We have an on-going map of construction around the city for commuters. Check it out below:

DayStarter weather

A rainy Monday morning. What a way to start the week. Don't forget an umbrella. Or a rain jacket. And maybe some rain boots.

12 C at 8 a.m. going up to a high of 14 C later today. Showers expected all day and into the evening, ending around midnight. A low of 4 C tonight.

We'll have the sun back tomorrow so you can ditch the umbrella then.

Here's a kid who had a good weekend. Thanks to Tammy (@T_Win77) who shared this photo of her son (aka Batman) at the Hammertown Comic Con Fest on Saturday.

Sometimes we do cute animal Mondays here at CBC Hamilton. Today, we're going to try out robot animals. This video is both cool and creepy. A Boston-based robotics company developed the WildCat. This is a robot that runs. Kinda looks like something out of the Alien movies.
