Emergency crews rescued a man whose vehicle careened over the escarpment on Monday afternoon.
At around 2:50 p.m., a pickup with one occupant drove over a ridge near the waterfall known as the Devil's Punch Bowl.
Trees broke the truck's fall, according to James Summers, a spokesman for Hamilton Emergency Services. The driver suffered "moderate" injuries, he said.
Speaking with CBC Hamilton at around 4:45 p.m., Hamilton Fire Department spokesperson Claudio Mostacci said crews lifted the victim up the hill on a stretcher, then transported him to hospital.
Police are still investigating the incident, he said.
