Couple hold up Hamilton pharmacy with hammer

Police are looking for a man and a woman in relation to a drug store robbery.

Police say a pair of hammer-wielding bandits robbed an East Mountain pharmacy, making off with prescription drugs and cash.

Just before 9 a.m. on Monday, a man and woman went into a pharmacy at the corner of Concession Street and East 31st Street carrying a hammer and a green garbage bag. The pair marched behind the pharmacy counter, demanding the employee fill the bag with prescription drugs and money, police say. The couple then fled to a car waiting outside.

Hamilton police are seeking two suspects: a white man, 6' tall with a thin build, who was wearing a black jacket and a brown hoodie and a 5'2" woman with a heavy build weighing around 200 lbs, wearing black sunglasses and a dark jacket.
