Environment Canada has issued a wind chill warning for Hamilton Wednesday morning. The city's extreme cold alert remains in effect.
It's -17 C as of 7 a.m. with the wind chill making it feel like -28 C. Believe it or not that's five degrees warmer than yesterday at this time. Can you feel it?
Environment Canada says Hamiltonians should expect a cloudy day with a 60 per cent chance of flurries. The wind is coming in from the southwest at 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h. The high for Thursday is expected to be -5 C. That might make you feel like you've stepped into Spring compared to the chill of the last week.
A cold alert is issued when current or anticipated weather conditions are at or below -15 C or -20 C with the wind chill.
Watch for blowing snow in and around Hamilton this morning.
