It's the second-last long weekend of the summer. Hard to believe, right?
Well, believe this: Monday is the Civic Holiday, meaning government offices and some businesses in Hamilton will be closed for the day.
To help plan your weekend, check out CBC Hamilton's list of what's open and what's closed in the city for the last day of the long weekend.
City-run libraries, museums and recreation centres
All of Hamilton's public libraries and city-run museums will be closed on Monday.
City recreation facilities, including seniors' centres, arenas and indoors pools, will be closed. Wading pools, except for those at Gage Park and Dundas Driving Park, will be out of service too. Outdoor pools in Hamilton are holding special holiday hours. To check swim times, click here.
DARTS will be operating on holiday service hours on Monday. All subscription trips, with the exception of those for dialysis patients, are cancelled for the day. Otherwise, if passengers wish to travel on Monday, they must make a reservation in advance.
And remember: the Toronto-bound lanes of the Burlington Skyway Bridge are closed until further notice as a result of Thursday's truck crash.
There will be no household waste collection on Monday. Pickup this week will occur on the day after your regular collection date.
Banks, stores and other amenities
Most major grocery stores and lots of other businesses will be open Monday, though many are set to close early. Jackson Square, Lime Ridge and Eastgate Square malls will be open. Select LCBO and The Beer Store locations are holding special holiday hours, while banks will have the day off.
