Police have charged a 52-year-old Hamilton man with impaired driving after a breath test showed the driver 's blood-alcohol level was three times the legal limit.
Around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, staff at fast-food restaurant near Queenston Road and Nash Road called police about a suspected drunk driver who had pulled up to the drive-thru window, Hamilton Police Services said in a statement.
Shortly after, officers arrived on scene and arrested the driver, taking him back to the station to test his blood-alcohol level.
"It's amazing that people still get behind the wheel in that state," Debbie McGreal, a police spokesperson, said of the incident.
Police charged the man with impaired driving and released him later on Wednesday morning.
