Do you know this woman?

Police are looking for a mugger who is described as having frizzy blond hair and no teeth, who is wearing black tights a leopard print top,  flat ballerina-style shoes, silver hoop earrings, and sunglasses. She was also carrying a bronze and silver Guess shoulder bag. She's about  5’2 and approximately 165 pounds.

She's wanted in connnection with a mugging of an 83-year-old last month. When the victim first encountered her, the woman appeared to be a Good Samaritan.

On June 3 at around 3:30 p.m. the suspect helped an 83-year-old woman with a walker as she was coming out of the Tim Horton’s on King and Hughson Streets in Hamilton.  Then, as the elderly woman was walking away from the store on the north side of King Street, the suspect came up behind her and said "I got to go and I am taking your purse with me."

The victim begged the other woman not to take her purse because it had all of her information and her apartment keys in it. The suspect took the purse anyway and shoved the victim to the ground.

The victim was taken to hospital where she is recovering from her injuries.

Police are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone with information, or who might know the suspect, to call Hamilton Division One Detective Fletcher at 905-546-3821 or to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
