A man in his thirties was sent to hospital with stab wounds to the abdomen early Saturday morning after a confrontation with another man.
Police say the confrontation took place in the area of Wellington Street South, between Hunter Street East and Stinson Street.
Police got the call at 3:32 a.m. Saturday morning.
According to Det. Const. Frank Bogdan, the victim was transported to Hamilton General Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. His injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.
Bogdan said the suspect is known to the victim.
