Daughter charged with failing to provide for elderly mother
A 55-year-old Hamilton woman has been charged with failing to provide the necessaries of life.
On July 25, Hamilton police were notified by a hospital of the condition of an elderly patient. An investigation by the Crimes Against Seniors Unit revealed that the victim had been living in appalling conditions, and that the accused had refused services to the home in which the victim was living.
On August 7, the victim's daughter was charged.
