An Alaskan furrier has pleaded guilty in Yukon territorial court for the illegal transport of endangered animal fur and skins.

David Green and Sons has been fined $20,000.

The couple that owns the business were moving to southeast Alaska in the summer of last year.

Customs officers in Beaver Creek inspected a moving container the couple had with them.

Inside they found more than $1.5 million worth of furs, and animal skin products.

$85,000 worth of furs were from endangered species.

Canada Customs says the furs were being moved into Canada without a permit.
