The death of a woman whose body was found in a central Edmonton house has been determined to be a homicide, Edmonton police said Thursday.

Treana Theresa Carlson, 64, died from head trauma, police said.

Carlson's body was found after someone in the house at 119th Avenue and 81st Street called police at about 5:50 a.m. Wednesday.

The cause of death was determined after the medical examiner conducted an autopsy Thursday.

Police are continuing their investigation.
