A woman believed to have been forced into a vehicle in Grande Prairie over the weekend was not abducted, say police.
RCMP alerted the media Saturday after receiving a report that a woman was heard screaming for help shortly before 4:30 a.m. in downtown Grande Prairie.
However, a woman contacted the RCMP saying she believed she was the woman police were looking for.
Police interviewed the woman and other people involved and determined the incident was a misunderstanding.
Police do not intend to press charges.
