Vader convicted of trafficking meth, theft
The man accused of killing St. Albert seniors Lyle and Marie McCann was convicted Wednesday on a number of unrelated charges.
Travis Edward Vader, 40. was found guilty of 8 of 14 criminal charges, including trafficking methamphetamine, theft of a truck and unlawful possession of a firearm
The charges date back to June 2010, just a month before the McCanns went missing. A date for sentencing will be set next week
Vader was charged last month with first-degree murder in the deaths of the McCanns, who police believe were slain on July 3, 2010.
Vader will make his first court appearance on those charges in Edson on May 15.
The bodies of Lyle, 78, and Marie, 77, have never been found.
