Police in Red Deer are searching for the driver of an SUV after a hit-and-run that sent two people to hospital Friday night.

RCMP say a man, 47, and woman, 58, were struck on Taylor Drive around 7:30 p.m.

Both were taken to hospital and are listed in stable condition.

Witnesses describe the vehicle as a GMC or Chevrolet SUV, silver or grey in colour. RCMP are asking the people to contact police if they see a vehicle matching that description with front-end damage.
