Teen charged in Stony Plain condo fire

RCMP have charged a 16-year-old with arson after an afternoon fire last month destroyed four condos at the Sandstone Estates.

RCMP have charged a teenager with arson after an afternoon fire last month destroyed four condos in Stony Plain.

The Aug. 17 fire at Sandstone Estates caused $1 million damage. No one was injured. Police say the subsequent investigation was "extensive."

No one was hurt in the fire.

Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the 16-year-old accused cannot be named. He will appear in Stony Plain Youth Court Oct. 18.
