Residents in the south Edmonton community of Belgravia say tax dollars are being wasted as a street in their neighbourhood is painted, torn up, paved, painted again, only to be torn up yet again.

Residents watched as the city painted bike-route markers before paving a pothole-ridden 115th Street.

The bike-route markers were re-painted only to have crews come to tear up the street again.

As CBC's Scott Stevenson reports in the video, the city admits mistakes are bound to happen given the amount of construction work in Edmonton.
