RCMP investigate death of 2-year-old

RCMP are investigating the death of a toddler on the Bigstone Cree First Nation.
EMS were called about an unconscious two-year-old girl at a home on the northern Alberta reserve around 9:30 a.m.Wednesday. Paramedics then called the RCMP.
Sgt. Josee Valiquette says the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
"We don't know exactly what's happened at this time," she said.
"Our investigation is ongoing and this is treated as a sudden death. An autopsy has been performed and we are awaiting the results from the medical examiner's office
Police are not releasing the girl's name at the request of her family.
