Man struck and killed in St. Paul crosswalk

A man is dead after he was struck by a pickup truck in downtown St. Paul Thursday morning.
The man, 46, was in a marked crosswalk around 9:30 a.m. when he was hit by a truck making a left-hand turn.
The man was pronounced dead after he was taken to hospital.
The 74-year-old driver of the pickup was taken into custody and may face charges.
Police say road and weather conditions were clear with good visibility at the time of the collision.
