1 dead, 2 critically injured in Highway 881 crash

One man was killed and two others were critically injured in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 881 Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to the crash about 45 kilometres south of Conklin, Alta., around 2:45 p.m.
The 54-year-old male driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene.
His 24-year-old male passenger and the 39-year-old male driver of the other vehicle both suffered critical injuries and were airlifted to hospitals in Edmonton.
Highway 881 was closed after the crash. RCMP say they expect it will reopen by midnight.
Police are advising people to watch their speed and drive carefully as highways in and around Lac La Biche County are covered with snow and ice
