Students at Lakeland College tried to break a world record outside Vermilion, Alta. on Friday for the world’s largest toboggan.

The sled is over ten metres long and two metres wide.

The college set a Guinness World Record in 1987 when 132 people crammed onto a giant toboggan built by staff and students.

They wanted to try again as a way to celebrate the college’s 100th anniversary.
