Helicopter crashes near Fox Creek, Alta.

A man in his 30s died in a helicopter crash near Fox Creek, Alta. on Sunday.
The man, who was in his 30s, was checking oil wells when the chopper went down about 77 kilometres southwest of the northern Alberta town.
When the man failed to return on time, RCMP, the Fox Creek Fire Department and the Canadian military started a search. A Hercules military aircraft was sent from Winnipeg to help out.
RCMP Sgt. Josée Valiquette says the wreckage was spotted from the air around 5 a.m. Monday morning.
"Our members had to drive on a gravel road and then they had to utilize snowmobiles to get to the crash site," she said.
The Transportation Safety Board says that the helicopter was a Robinson R-44. CBC News has confirmed that it was owned by Gemini Helicopters of Grande Prairie.
"We cannot begin to describe the sorrow and grief we share with the family, friends and colleagues of our pilot," the compnay said in a written statement.
TSB investigators are now heading to the site.
