Driver charged after child run over in Hinton

A child is recovering in Edmonton after being hit by a vehicle in Hinton Friday.
RCMP say the girl was taken to the Stollery Children’s Hospital following the collision.
There was no information on his or her condition, however police say the child and family are still in Edmonton receiving care.
The driver of the vehicle has been charged with failing to stop for a pedestrian.
Speed and alcohol were not believed to have been factors.
