Red Deer's first homicide victim of 2013 has been identified as 25-year-old Lloyd Robert Sarson.

Sarson, of no fixed address, was found inside a vehicle parked in an alley just after 5 a.m. on Tuesday after RCMP were called about a disturbance on the 3700 block of 50th Street.

Sarson died as a result of gunshot wounds. Police say the attack doesn't appear random.
