Najeeb Manah was given a two-year conditional sentence and fined $100. He is also prohibited from owning firearms for ten years.

In March 2012, police raided Manah's home at 164th Avenue and 60A Street where they found 500 marijuana plants valued at more than $500,000.

At the time, police said the grow op was the first in Canada to use LED lights which use less power than traditional lamps, making detection more difficult.
