The city has declared a parking ban on bus routes thanks to Wednesday's dump of snow.
It starts Friday morning at 7 a.m.
Vehicles breaking the ban will be tagged and towed.
No parking is permitted on the routes until the seasonal parking ban has been lifted even if plows have already made one pass on these routes, said the city.
It may be necessary for crews to return or the ban may be extended if more snow falls in the meantime, the city said.
By 11 a.m. Thursday the city had plowed 50 per cent of the main arterial roads, said roadway maintenence director Bob Dunford.
Blading will begin in residential neighbourhoods on Sunday or Monday, he said.
Corrections and Clarifications
- An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that the parking ban started Thursday at 7 a.m. and continued until Sunday at 7 a.m. In fact, the ban starts 7 a.m. Friday and remains in effect for as long as it takes for the city to clear the routes. Dec. 6, 2012 | 3:30 p.m. MT
