In celebration of citizenship week, CBC Edmonton hosted a citizenship ceremony live at its downtown studios where 45 newcomers from 24 different countries took the oath to become Canadians.
The ceremony was presided over by long-time Edmontonian musician and former senator Tommy Banks and hosted by Edmonton AM's Rick Harp and CBC-TV's Mark Connolly.
CBC is asking its audience to share their tips for new Canadians on a special Twitter hashtag #CanadaTips.
