Boy, 5, taken to hospital by helicopter after Claresholm accident

A five-year-old is in a Calgary hospital after he was run over by a pick-up truck in Claresholm, Alta.
The boy was hit by the truck, then run over by the rear wheel at 50th Avenue and Highway 2 in town.
He was transported by STARS Air Ambulance from Claresholm General Hospital just after 12:30 p.m. MT to Alberta Children Hospital.
“In the transfer the boy was in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries,” said STARS spokesman Cam Heke.
RCMP are investigating the accident and say there were several witnesses.
There have been no updates on his condition, said RCMP Const. Robert Olive.
