A 27-year-old man was found dead in an apartment at a three-storey walk-up in southwest Edmonton Sunday night.
Police are at the scene near 28th Avenue and 116th Street. (Andrea Huncar/CBC News)Police are calling the death suspicious. They were called to a weapons complaint at a residence near 28th Avenue and 116th Street at 8:35 p.m.
Drug deals are not unusual in the area, nearby residents said, and some neighbours reported hearing yelling and what sounded like fighting last night before police arrived.
Michael Flewin, whose children regularly played near the area of the crime scene, said his family was concerned about the latest violence.
"I'm rattled," he said. "Now the wife is saying we should move."
