Man killed in west Edmonton shooting

Homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death after a man was shot dead in west Edmonton Sunday night.
The man’s body was found near 97th Avenue and 145th Street in the Crestwood neighbourhood around 11 p.m. after police received calls reporting gunshots.
“When they arrived on scene at this residence they discovered the body of a man in the driveway,” said Lisa Sobchyshyn, with the Edmonton Police Service. “It was determined rather quickly that this individual was deceased on scene.”
Police haven’t declared it a homicide, instead calling it a suspicious death. They are currently interviewing people in the area.
