A woman from Calling Lake, Alta. who had been missing for two weeks was found alive on Wednesday.

Rhonda Cardinal, 41, was found by a Husky Oil worker in a remote area about 14 kilometres from where she was last seen.

The man drove her to a work site, where a helicopter pilot flew her to Athabasca. She was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

"A little tired and a little dehydrated. Lots of mosquito bites and stuff," said RCMP Sgt. Brian Scott. "But for being 14 to 15 days out in the bush, she was in pretty decent condition."

Cardinal was reported missing on August 1st after walking away from a hunting cabin.

Her disappearance prompted an intensive air and ground search involving an RCMP helicopter and service dogs.

RCMP said that her family was grateful when they learned she was found.
