A teen has been charged with a number of weapons offences after a five-hour stand-off with police early Sunday morning.

The charges include possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public, pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possessing a firearm knowing the serial number has been altered, defaced or removed.

The 17-year-old male is also charged with possession of a controlled substance and flight from a peace officer.

Police received a report about a teen pointing a handgun at two people at a house party in Mill Woods around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
