Niko Arlia, 17, was slain on Jan. 9, 2011. (Facebook)A 20-year-old man was sentenced to eight years in prison on Friday in the fatal stabbing of a teen during a party at the Killarney Community Centre last year, according to published media reports.
Kevin Ismael Moffett pleaded guilty in Edmonton Court of Queen's Bench to manslaughter, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon in the slaying of 17-year-old Niko Arlia on Jan. 9, 2011.
Two other teens were injured in the incident at the hall located at 87th Street and 130A Avenue.
