Edmonton police armoured vehicle entered Haliburton Crescent at Haddow Drive in Riverbend Monday after a man barricaded himself in a home. The man was arrested and now faces a number of charges. (CBC)
A man faces a number of charges following a 16-hour standoff in a Riverbend home which ended peacefully Monday afternoon.
The 46-year-old man surrendered to police around 1:30 p.m. after members of the tactical unit used an armoured vehicle to ram through the garage door.
The man has been charged with uttering threats, pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, and careless use/storage of a firearm and two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
