A new mural of Edmonton Eskimo legend Rollie Miles has appeared behind Strathcona High School.
Three weeks ago, a mural of Miles also at the high school was painted over with white paint and tagged with the words "Foodlot Promotion Project."
The new mural has been painted on the garage door on the opposite side of the building from where the old mural was. Who painted it and how it came about is a mystery.
Jesse Lipscombe is impressed with the new mural of his grandfather. (CBC)Miles' grandson Jesse Lipscombe said he was pleasantly surprised by the new mural, which he says is the work of a "true artist."
"I'm loving the fact that it's a little anonymous. We've no idea who did it," he said. "Thank you whoever put that together."
The painting is still considered graffiti since permission to paint on the door wasn't granted.
