Homicide detectives are investigating the deaths of two people from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning in southwest Edmonton on Thursday.

Police say a man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s died after they were found in a home at Falconer Place and Falconer Boulevard in southwest Edmonton. A third person — a woman in her 20s — remains in hospital.

Police consider the deaths suspicious and fire officials aren't speculating on the source of the carbon monoxide.

Autopsies were scheduled to take place on Friday afternoon.
