Edmonton taxi drivers remain on the job

About 800 taxi drivers for Yellow Cab, Barrel Taxi, Prestige Cabs and Checker Cab remain on the job Monday.
The cabbies are in a legal strike position, but a spokesman for the union tells CBC, they want to resume negotiations.
Drivers voted last week 82 per cent in favour of walking off the job.
Issues include the cost of renting debit machines and insurance premiums.
A manager for Co-op Taxi said they put extra drivers on the road this morning, just in case.
