Floods prompt Alta. park evacuations
Rising waters Saturday added more rivers to the flood threat list

The province advised some campers in Northern Alberta to head home after heavy rains caused flood warnings in many low-lying areas.
Alberta Environment issued a flood warning for the Wapiti River on Saturday, and advised visitors and campers to evacuate the O'Brien Provincial Recreation Area off Highway 40 and other site along the river's edge.
Members of the RCMP and fire department from nearby Grande Prairie went to O'Brien Provincial Park to ensure the safety of the public in the area.
Other rivers in the Peace River and Athabasca basins remained were also under flood watch.
On Saturday, a new high streamflow advisory was issued for the Athabasca River downstream of Whitecourt to Athabasca, and a new flood watch was issued for the Athabasca River near Fort Assiniboine. A flood warning was also issued for the Smoky River at Watino.
By Sunday morning, rivers levels were mostly peaking or falling, but a new high streamflow advisory was issued for the Peace River downstream of the town of Peace River.
The town of Slave Lake flooded after heavy rains earlier this week.
